David E. Mathews, LCP Owner
David E. Mathews is a state licensed and American Board
Certified Prosthetist. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of
Washington, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Prosthetics and
Since graduation he has been employed full time as a
Prosthetist. Dave was the clinical director for a non-profit
organization that provided modern prosthetic rehabilitation to amputees
in developing countries, primarily Vietnam.
has trained approximately one hundred Prosthetists here and abroad to
use computer assisted techniques, and has served as an auxiliary faculty
member at the University of Washington.
Robert Travelstead, CP, LPO
Robert Travelstead is a state licensed and American Board Certified Orthotist & Prosthetist. Robert is self employed in Bothell and comes to Whidbey Island weekly to care for our local patients orthotic needs.
Carole Stuart, Office Manager
Certified Medical Billing & Coding Specialist Post-Mastectomy Patient Care
Carole has worked for Island Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. since October 2016. She started out as a part time receptionist and was promoted to Office Manager.
After 23 years as a Financial Analyst for The Department of the Navy and 4 years as a professional debt collector, she chose a career change and earned her certificate in Medical Billing and Coding from Skagit Valley College in 2013.
